Leading figures of this counterculture, Brian Wilson from the Beach Boys and Paul McCartney from the Beatles managed to mix pop and experimentation while pushing the limits of the musical industry. And the fans followed. This “magic interlude” reveal for a moment the compatibility between avant-garde, mass media and popular expression.
